Research abstract

Influence Apps is the leader in software-driven information warfare. With the Influence platform, users can develop data-driven messaging plans at the click of a button, without requiring extensive training or expertise. The platform distills an endless world of information down into clear visuals that provide users with the information they need to easily identify opportunities and begin planning. Influence’s unique tools automate information collection and development of  messaging operations providing the user with recommendations built on the proven techniques and data analytical capabilities of the Influence platform.   Through this Phase II effort, Influence Apps will develop, test, and deploy a new capability and product within the Influence suite called  - the “National Confidence Index” (NCI). The NCI is an automated software application that collects data and scans entire social media networks in near-real time to create a dynamic and continuously up to date NCI for every country in the world that will provide a baseline measure of how the population in a target country or region perceives issues related to top U.S. policy priorities and perceives the efforts of adversaries operating in specific regions. For Phase II, Influence will develop and deploy AI-driven chatbots and polling, deep fake focus groups, and other ad tech methods to collect the necessary data to establish the NCI for selected countries. The measure can then be used to highlight potential messaging opportunities, and to automate recommendations for specific plans of action to counter adversaries.
