Research abstract

Lunar Outpost and Colorado School of Mines propose the Cislunar Logistics Center (CLC) in a halo orbit around the Earth-Moon Lagrange Point 1 (L1) to act as the logistical control point and fuel distribution center for spacecraft in GEO and further out into cislunar space. Additionally, CLC will enable spacecraft servicing through on-station servicing modules and providing a hanger for deployable servicing satellites in space. With proprietary algorithms and technology CLC enables the servicing and refueling of spacecraft at any point in GEO in two hours or less providing a fundamental shift in USAF and USSF capabilities. Due to the modularity of the design, CLC can be expanded over time to ensure efficient and effective logistics. With written support from AFRL, the US Army, and leading commercial entities CLC will provide significant value through all stages of the new Cislunar ecosystem; starting with spacecraft support, building to refueling and servicing for spacecraft in GEO and further out into cislunar space, and then in-time growing to be the logistical control point for all resources extracted in space. Colorado School of Mines’ and Lunar Outpost’s collective team has experience on over 100 successful space missions, and a 100% mission success rate on both government and commercial space programs.
