Research abstract

Bionic Lift, LLC, offers the Skelex 360 exoskeleton and neck support as an Innovative Defense-Related Dual-Purpose Technology with a Clear Air Force Stakeholder Need. Our offering provides the USAF & DoD with a transformational solution to improve working conditions, reduce fatigue, improve morale, improve performance, and help reduce workplace injuries. The Phase II will place 45 exoskeletons and 10 neck supports across 6 MAJCOMs, including the AF’s maintenance, depot, munitions, logistics, combat communications, and base support functions. The results from usage during day-to-day operations & real-world conditions will provide data & feedback as to the operational suitability, deployment ability, and integration of Bionic Lift’s Skelex 360 technological offering. The sustainment, supportability, and ability to deploy (ship/store) will also be evaluated to determine fit for AF operational use. This novel exoskeleton’s proven global track record includes integration into the California DOT, Airbus, KLM, Nissan, BMW, Toyota and other organizations with logistics, munitions, supply, maintenance, and other functions that are analogous to those in the USAF. Looking to the future, Bionic Lift will be able to provide a cutting-edge and cost-effective solution for the USAF and commercial Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul firms, as well as other industries with labor intensive tasks.
