Research abstract

Continuing from the Phase 1 feasibility study, where we showed we are able to develop a deep neural network that has learned the concept of the angle-of-arrival (AoA) of an incoming signal, we will move the simulations to the real-world by integrating the proposed phase 1 models into our commercial product, OmniSIG, and integrate the ability to train these models with AoA into our OmniSIG SDK. This will result in a an enhanced RF awareness capability that provides both signal classification and the AoA of each signal that is classified, all in one system. We will develop and deliver 10 RF classification systems, that leverage software-defined radios and multiple antenna elements, to the end-user and show the output of the sensors flowing through new wireless signal anomaly detection routines. These newly enhanced systems will be tested at TRIDENTSPECTRE, using over the air signals from real military platforms.
