Research abstract

In response to Navy SBIR topic N202-088, Triton Systems, Inc. and Squirrel, LLC. propose the continued design and testing Advanced Low-Level Parachute System (ALLPS) for the USMC.  The developed system is an ultra-light, highly reliable main and reserve parachute system packed into a comfortable low-bulk container, which will enable the USMC to drop a team of six jumpers from low altitude at higher speeds and land together in a tight dropzone.  This second Phase II effort will build on proven capability demonstrated by the Phase I & first Phase II prototypes to result in a refined system design that will be readily capable of meeting USMC needs and passing required qualification testing to support near-term transition to manufacturing and commercialization.
