Research abstract

Ionic Security proposes to design, deploy and demonstrate an innovative method of enabling a Zero-Trust implementation of a SAP network that does not rely on network segmentation or security models to meet protection level requirements outlined in ICD 503. The prototype that is envisioned will provide a method to secure SAP data so that it can be accessed, processed, saved and shared while ensuring users can only access the data they have the proper “need to know”, SAP access authorization, valid “read-in”, client and location. It is expected that this capability will provide not only a more secure data environment, but it will also provide a path to reducing end-point security solutions and the FTE’s necessary to manage them without any reduction in mission capabilities, readiness or functionality.
