Research abstract

Umbra Lab, Inc is positioned to keep the U.S. at the forefront of ISR technology. Umbra’s best in class SAR microsatellites will deliver the industry’s most accurate .25 meter SAR image. Umbra has achieved the highest resolution in SAR technology while maintaining a small and affordable platform. The ~60kg microsatellite allows for precision orbit control with worldwide coverage at a significant savings over typical SAR satellite systems. Umbra’s commercial technology also delivers resilient, low latency, mission critical information. The Umbra SAR Constellation provides a scalable solution which supports repeated image captures between short time intervals. By leveraging Umbra’s unrivaled commercial remote sensing operations, the U.S. can maintain worldwide leadership in surveillance through increased persistence over rogue states, day or night.
