Research abstract

Leading emergent technologies of AI, Blockchain, and Internet of Things have the potential to create solutions that were not technically possible five years ago. When combined, these technologies can solve supply chain problems that have beleaguered USAF sustainment efforts. The objective of this research project is to continue development of the Odysseus procurement technology framework that layers couples IoT with Blockchain within an AI construct using encrypted transfer protocols. In Phase I, feasibility of novel use of this technology framework was demonstrated. Phase II will pursue development of a system of machine learning algorithms and models for CNC machines that are interconnected and have accessibility to the cloud computing for storing and processing the censorial data, manufacturing parameter data, productivity data, and maintenance and service data. The AI core containing the learning algorithms will create an improved USAF User experience and system analysis product for market research. This system can be used to make a breakthrough for new product development, as well as for maintenance of aging aircraft systems.
