Open Call for Innovative Defense-Related Dual-Purpose Technologies/Solutions with a Clear Air Force Stakeholder Need

Hivemapper is a software platform which transforms existing video cameras into an intelligence source. Hivemapper users can query their video data to automatically detect changes, measure any object in the 3D map, plan autonomous navigation routes to avoid obstacles, and more. Hivemapper’s core product can be broken down into three pieces: 1.) 3D mapping - Without requiring any pre-existing LiDAR, DEM, satellite imagery, or camera/GPS metadata, the platform can turn a standard 2D video into a dynamic and accurate 3D map. 2.) Georegistration - With its patent pending georegistration pipeline, Hivemapper can georegister a video into the 3D map with 30-40cm precision with or without any flight metadata. 3.) Change Detection - Irrelevant of camera, aircraft, or flight path, Hivemapper is able to provide 3D change detection between two distinct video collections - even if they are years apart. In addition, users have access to view the same fully automated change detection feature when comparing a video against historic LiDAR base data. This Phase II proposal is focused on deploying Hivemapper in the end-user environment to allow for integration and evaluation of the platform in addition to new feature development for advanced analytics.
