Research abstract

In this program, Micro-Precision Technologies (MPT) will become an Approved Source for National Stock Number (NSN) 5961-01-053-3316, a transistor for the Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) program. This effort results from the request of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to improve product availability and increase competition for those NSN parts for the Nuclear Enterprise Support Office (NESO) where sources of supply are scarce. MPT will reverse engineer the transistor from a government-provided technical data package and submit a Source Approval Request (SAR) and two prototype test units to the US Air Force Engineering Support Activity (ESA) for evaluation. After approval of the SAR, MPT will be qualified to manufacture the transistor in fulfillment of future procurements.
