Research abstract

Modern military operations overwhelm commanders with data, creating a high-stakes environment where swift and accurate decisions are critical. Traditional Course of Action (COA) generation processes are too slow and static, leading to missed opportunities, heightened risks, and compromised mission success. IntrinsicÆs Dynamic Generative Large Language Model (LLM) Platform addresses these challenges by transforming COA generation and situational awareness with real-time, AI-powered insights. The platform ingests multi-domain data, sensor feeds, imagery, and intelligence. It uses a domain specific fine-tuned LLM to dynamically generate context-aware COAs with detailed risk assessments and operational impacts. Explainable AI ensures transparency, enabling commanders to trust and understand recommendations. Seamlessly integrating with command-and-control systems, the modular and scalable design preserves human decision-making roles while reducing cognitive burden. Intrinsic will deliver this capability through rigorous development and field evaluations, achieving Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 by project completion. Building on successes like Skyline« and Skyhub«, Intrinsic will align the platform with DoD needs, ensuring rapid deployment and adaptability for evolving missions.
