Research abstract
The United States Navy faces challenges integrating vast, disparate data into tactical systems like the AN/UYQ-100 Undersea Warfare Decision Support System (USW-DSS) and AN/SQQ-34 Carrier Tactical Support Center (CV-TSC). Manual data handling increases sailor workload, errors, and delays critical decision-making in Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and USW operations within Carrier Strike Groups (CSGs). Trideum Corporation proposes the Proactive Mission Analytics and Reporting Engine (PROMARE) to automate this process. PROMARE will provide automated data ingestion from numerous authoritative sources, including classified networks, websites, publications, and inputs from USW-DSS, handling over a thousand filetypes and formats (hard-copy via scanning and electronic via APIs/scraping).ÝÝExtracted data will be automatically processed, tagged, clustered, and indexed using metadata for rapid search and analysis via an intuitive User Interface (UI). PROMARE incorporates Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) for data summary and interpretation, Course of Action (COA) recommendations, and automated report generation. A key capability PROMARE will offer is delivering formatted tactical data directly to systems like the AN/SQQ-34 for real-time planning. Robust information assurance, including automatic classification tagging and access controls, will secure data across multiple levels. Designed as a containerized solution, PROMARE ensures resilience in challenging network environments and data availability. Leveraging Trideum's ADULT software, development focuses on automated source handling and specific Navy interfaces. This automation will significantly reduce manual workload, minimize errors, accelerate information delivery to systems like the AN/SQQ-34, and enhance CSG situational awareness for faster, more informed tactical decisions.Ý
