Research abstract

In this proposal, we articulate a program to develop the key technologies required to enable high resolution, full-color micro-displays. The proposed approach will exploit the development at QD Vision of high quantum yield (QY) colloidal QDs, as well as the company’s proprietary process capability for versatile manipulation of ordered 2D monolayer arrays of QDs by self-assembly and their pattern transfer and deposition on specifically targeted electrically active substrates and films. The direct deposition processes will be demonstrated for the currently used 15 microns per pixel density in the initial phase and will offer prospects for scaling down to approximately 9 microns per pixel density or higher in the future.
