Research abstract

The U.S. Army has stated a need for wirelessly monitoring large areas of remote land. The goal of this effort is to leverage Luna Innovation's existing wireless monitoring system to support the sensing elements and environmental requirements of this implementation. In Phase I of this effort we shall demo the current self-powered wireless system and develop the requirements and initial design for a modified system. The Phase II shall allow the research and development team to create functional field-ready prototypes. This effort builds on the expertise of Luna Innovations in designing self-powered wireless sensor networks and secure wireless communication devices.
