Research abstract

This Small business innovation research Phase II project proposes to develop innovative radiation-resistant multilayer prototype coating technology for solar cell protection against space radiation based on our successful demonstration of Phase I results. Phase II will expand potential of the material candidates and optimize it with production requirements matching for large area wafers used in solar cell production. In Phase II thus Blue Wave will use knowledge base of radiation hard material library created in Phase I and will scale-up the technology to develop and provide a working prototype to Air Force and commercial partners for further tests. Blue Wave Semiconductors will begin the manufacturing of coating in Phase III.
