Research abstract

ROCKMAN ET AL and WestEd propose to research a promising school improvement tool designed to assist schools with implementing improvement processes. As evidenced in the Phase I feasibility study, the School Improvement Implementation and Monitoring Tool (SIIMT) has been shown to provide valuable help in a variety of settings. In a two-year Phase II research study, we propose to refine and add features that will enhance usability of the tool, incorporate accountability in the process, encourage more consistent and greater use, and support better scaling towards nationwide use by reducing the need for intervention from outside consultants.
