Research abstract

To address the Air Force’s need for scalable, real-time adaptive training, this Phase II effort will refine and enhance Celeste VR,an AI-driven immersive training platform designed to support Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) and Close Air Support(CAS) mission rehearsal. Current training methods rely heavily on pre-scripted scenarios and costly live exercises, limitingadaptability and reducing training frequency. Celeste VR overcomes these limitations by integrating AI-generated, dynamicscenarios that respond to evolving mission parameters, terrain, and adversary behaviors in real time. This effort will focus on refining voice-based command execution, scenario realism, and multi-domain training adaptability. Phase II will validateCeleste VR through direct engagement with the 194th Air Support Operations Group, ensuring its integration into Air Forcetraining pipelines and operational readiness programs.
