Research abstract

In this Direct-to-Phase II program, CAMX Power will adapt our long-life, high-power, low-temperature charge and discharge capable, rugged and abuse-tolerant Li-ion battery technology for Army use in austere environments by implementing it in standard BB-2590 battery packs.á This battery will provide soldiers with critical operational power under extreme Arctic cold conditions where COTS cells currently used in BB-2590 batteries fail.á This battery will also provide power to robots and other mission critical devices in high radiation environments where the electronics of current BB-2590s fail.
