Research abstract

The Phase I feasibility study, outlined in the SBIR proposal for EMP shielding (F233-0036-0672), addresses the challenge of protecting critical infrastructure and assets from HEMP and other electromagnetic threats, including IEMI and TEMPEST. The opportunity here involves the development of Omni-Threat Structures’ (OTS) proprietary hybrid construction process to develop a AFGSC specific portable EMSS module*, which utilizes conductive concrete for scalable and cost-effective shielding systems. This system is designed to exceed MIL-STD-188-125 requirements while being more efficient, durable, and easier to install than traditional steel panel shielding methods?. *Although a module is proposed based on OTS’s understanding of the AFGSC asset to be protected, we are able to provide our EMSS protection via monolithic structures if desired.
