Research abstract

Oceanit proposes enhancing the durability of elastomeric components used in M1A1 tank tracks—specifically track pads, backer pads, and bushings—building on the scientific and technical feasibility established during the Phase I effort. Tailored elastomer formulations will be developed for all three elastomeric components. Oceanit has already achieved the pre-qualification target properties for ground pads and will apply a similar approach to the other two elastomers.
