Research abstract

Pryon's Retrieval Augmented Generative (RAG) Suite, an advanced AI-powered knowledge management platform, will centralize and optimize the ingestion of institutional knowledge within the NSS-S framework for NAVSEA. The RAG Suite will enhance cross-functional collaboration, reduce redundancies, and improve supply chain efficiency by transforming fragmented, multi-modal content into a unified knowledge fabric. This will enable users to pose natural language questions and receive precise answers with full source attribution. Pryon's RAG Suite can currently ingest, process, and manage large volumes of unstructured data, including technical manuals and maintenance logs, facilitating efficient retrieval and integration of critical information into NAVSEA’s API-enabled solutions for the sustainment of Navy assets. The Phase I project will investigate the feasibility of expanding the RAG Suite's capabilities to create a dynamic, user-friendly platform for generating work instructions tailored to NAVSEA specifications. The RAG Suite will automate instruction creation, providing streamlined guidance for experienced users while offering detailed support, including explanatory text and visual aids, for those who need it. This adaptive approach will enhance operational efficiency and ensure all users can execute tasks effectively, regardless of their initial proficiency.
