Research abstract
enVerde’s eVpTM technology uses a patented flash volatilization process to instantaneously convert biomass into high-quality syngas, which can be used to produce electricity, heat, and SAF (with additional processing). Current methods to convert biomass are complicated, slow, and often require substantial biomass pre-processing. enVerde’s eVpTM is the opposite: it is operationally simple, instantaneous (calculated in milliseconds), and does not require significant biomass pre-processing. The eVpTM is scalable: it uses catalysts that require small capital expenditures and that facilitate high yield reactions (initial experiments show the eVpTM approaching or meeting theoretical yields of 99%+). The eVpTM is also mobile: a single system that converts two truckloads of feedstock per day to power a 3-5MWh generator requires the space of two international shipping containers. The eVpTM can be used to 1) Decrease the DAF’s waste and waste storage 2) Provide green fuels like syngas, which can be processed into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), gasoline, diesel, or distillate fuels 3) Provide heat and air conditioning across facilities and bases 4) Strengthen overall base security by reducing the transportation of waste and fuel in and out of bases 5) Ultimately provide the DAF energy security and readiness.
