Research abstract
This Phase I effort will determine feasibility of payload integration into the TRAC. The Tethered Remote Aerial Control (TRAC) Provides the ability to enhance any fixed wing vehicle or flying object. The system can transform a fixed wing glider with an operational flight time of 1 hour into unlimited flight time for any operation set while also expanding the max payload capability. Allowing for easy commercialization of this technology by expanding across sectors such as infrastructure, security, and environmental monitoring. By incorporating TRAC it will provide the Air Force with the ability to enhance exfiltration mobility and critical supplies without the need for expensive units to enter the battle space. The TRAC will provide the Air Force with improved Tactical Air Dominance as part of a family-of-systems approach to integrate innovative current and other low signature, low-cost air vehicles. TRAC enables superior Readiness to Deploy and Fight through enhanced mobilization and support for small package resupply, munition delivery and other infil/exfil efforts.
