Research abstract

This SBIR investigates the feasibility of designing, developing, and leveraging a high-assurance trusted execution environment for use in Proliferated Space Warfighter Architecture systems. The ability to host, integrate, and protect vendor-provided applications, develop modular integrated security and resilience services, and to port software across families of system will be investigated for security and commercialization feasibility.  This capability, while providing significantly increased protection and mission assurance, also enables and empowers speed-to-field with scalable portability and modularity amongst and between platforms. The software further supports additional feature development and enhancement based on risk-based analysis and per platform and system programmatic analysis. Our key objectives are as follows: Validate that PWSA mission applications and platforms can by inherently more secure while meeting the intent of “open systems” by producing and delivering an assessed software design able to host and protect mission applications while also applying advanced cyber security capabilities.Reduce time and cost associated with PWSA platform fielded by assessing the level of effort to port software across families of platforms, leverage information info recommended software design.Aid acquisition and sustainment through analysis of commercialization of technology; coordinate with key stakeholders and product options.
