Research abstract

To address the Army's need for faster Test Program Sets (TPS) development, Redshred proposes to develop Systems Engineering with Gen-AI for Modeling Automated Test Equipment (SEGMATE), based on Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and hardware integration. Specifically, the innovation in integrating Redshred’s core platform, Redshred, our AIRMATE technology (which generates SysML files from PDF files), and Large Language Models (LLMs) with prompt engineering will streamline the generation of SysML files and subsequent code generation for TPS. This approach will meet specifications and improve performance in areas such as rapid TPS development, iterative testing, and dual-path testing using both software and hardware testing. As a result, SEGMATE offers to enhance the efficiency of TPS development, reduce turnaround times, and ensure high operational availability and readiness of weapon systems. In Phase II, RedShred will demonstrate the feasibility of SEGMATE and will generate SysML files, generate software for testing a Unit Under Test (UUT) with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) with both a hardware and a software approach, and demonstrate performance of SEGMATE with generating Automated Test XML (ATML).
