Research abstract

This Phase II Proposal will develop and demonstrate a functional carry-on/carry-off C5ISR system that addresses emerging USSOCOM PM-FOSOV NSCV requirements. Tricom’s Advanced Carry-On/Carry-Off C5ISR is a modular, scalable, and rapidly deployable system of systems that increases vehicular communication capabilities and provides standardization across all FOSOV platforms. This communications system is applicable to the Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV) Program Of Record (POR) vehicles and indigenously acquired vehicles alike. Standardization not only benefits the training regimen but, more importantly, provides homogenous capabilities across vehicle platforms and ensures end-user familiarity with, and the ability to maximize the benefits of, the system. Per-vehicle costs are reduced since the requirement to outfit every vehicle with full C5ISR is eliminated. Utilizing the -Accessories kit, the Advanced Carry-On/Carry-Off C5ISR can be installed in denied environments without the need for forward deployed technicians and sustainment teams. The system is a complete solution, includes antennas and cabling as required for integration and operations, and ultimately improves the operational effectiveness of Special Operations Forces.
