Research abstract

SimVentions is creating innovative tools to support Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP). Many Electronic Warfare (EW) programs have a need for a data analysis tool that will enhance the analystÆs ability to report meaningful and relevant information to verify and validate system requirements, resolve Test Observation Reports (TORs), Trouble Reports (TRs), Detailed Trouble Reports (DTRs), and support documentation of new findings. In the past, this process in incredibly labor intensive, requires significant system knowledge, is prone to error, and time consuming. The USN has a need for a solution that increases the capabilities of data analysts while significantly reducing the time required and the amount of human induced errors.ĀWith the growth of software test automation tools in Naval systems, SimVentions will focus innovations on the data analysis portion of testing. SimVentions proposes EW Data Analysis and Reduction Tool (E-DART) to ingest multiple data formats from existing tools and support rapid analysis of data. E-DART will evaluate messaging, logging, and data extraction points to reduce wasted test and post-test analysis time and provide visualization to support rapid identification of issues.
