Research abstract

The proposed Phase II effort aims to develop an AI-enabled Rapid Industrial Base and Supply Chain Risk Intelligence solution, enhancing the Air Force's (AF) capabilities in managing and strengthening its industrial base and supply chain resilience. Leveraging proven commercial solutions from PSF and Resilinc, the project addresses key challenges such as lengthy industrial base analysis timelines, lack of market condition visibility, and insufficient real-time supply chain risk assessment. By integrating AI-driven sprints for rapid industrial base analysis and continuous supply chain risk monitoring, the solution will provide actionable insights and improve decision-making speed, ultimately ensuring the AF’s operational readiness and strategic advantage. This Phase II project will deliver comprehensive industrial base insights, identify alternative solutions and vendors, and continuously monitor supply chain risks, tailored specifically for the AF's civil engineering domain. The integration of PSF’s and Resilinc’s platforms will support the AF in reducing acquisition timelines, enhancing supply chain visibility, and proactively mitigating risks. By providing real-time data and predictive analytics, the solution aims to ensure uninterrupted availability of critical solutions and services, thereby supporting the AF's mission-critical operations and contributing to overall defense readiness.
