Research abstract

This proposal is for Scenario Development and Enhancement for Military Exercises (SCENDEV).Ā We are joined in this effort by our consultant Dr. Rick Grannis who has contributed significantly to our Phase I accomplishments.ĀIn Phase II we will expand the concept we proved in Phase I to develop, test and transition an interactive, AI enabled software system that will rapidly generate training scenarios populated by numerous independent and interdependent artificial personas for information warfare and combat support as well as commercial applications.ĀWe are building SCENDEV as an innovative software service that will integrate seamlessly with commercial large language models (LLMs)Āsuch as ChatGPT to generate strategic scenarios for superior military training. The system will excel in importing, storing, and preprocessing legacy data and various file formats to create an extensive knowledge base for LLM use. The processed data will then be leveraged through comprehensively tailored prompt chained interactions with the LLM to derive adaptive and tactically relevant scenarios and triggers within the training exercise information environment. This innovative combination of specific processing steps and application driven outcomes provides a novel technological advancement in military training technologies.
