Research abstract

We propose using portable autonomous wide-field-of-view optical sensors to mensurate missiles during launch and near termination. The system will use the modular Bones sensor framework to allow a multi-node wireless network of sensors with edge processing. The modular units will be place and forget systems that autonomously calibrate themselves and are capable of operations without cueing. Units can be configured with multiple sensors with multiple fielded units providing for increased trajectory accuracy and coverage. Wide field of view systems are proving to be a cost effective in many areas while allowing the warfighter to focus on mission.
