Research abstract

The United States Air Force (USAF) requires a resilient and reliable power supply to support its complex network of bases and critical operations. Optivolt’s shade-tolerant solar panels, leveraging patented power electronics architecture, provide a strategic solution to enhance energy resilience and operational effectiveness. These panels deliver up to 60 times more power in shaded and non-ideal conditions compared to industry-leading solar panels, addressing the vulnerability of traditional panels that can lose 100% of power output due to minimal shading or dirt. Optivolt's technology ensures consistent power generation even in harsh environments, making it ideally suited for USAF bases and operational field environments. The panels are powered by a proprietary core technology, which allows for efficient energy management and supports the USAF's mission-critical activities, ensuring persistent awareness, communication, and force projection. By replacing traditional solar panels with Optivolt’s advanced technology, the USAF can mitigate risks associated with power disruptions, enhance energy security, and maintain superiority in both peacetime and wartime scenarios.
