Research abstract

Building on the efforts completed during Phase 1, which focused on proving the technical feasibility and conducting component-level and subsystem-level testing and verification, the Drone-Enabled Mine Neutralization Swarm (DEMINS) project is poised to significantly impact the Army Future Command and other warfighterÆs capability to quickly, safely, and efficiently breach minefields and other explosive or obstructive hazards. Phase 1 efforts have established a solid groundwork for the integration, optimization, and operational testing of the DEMINS technology, thereby setting the stage for Phase II prototype development and demonstration of the DEMINS system, reaching a TRL of 6 by completion of Phase II.
