Research abstract

The development of materials for high-power microwave (HPM) systems with a focus on precision strike capability against marine, ground, and air platforms while minimizing collateral damage. The use of additive manufacturing and 3D printing is explored to address challenges in prototyping ferroelectric and ferromagnetic materials essential for HPM applications. Nanocomposites are created using High-Resolution Additive Manufacturing and are expected to exhibit improved electrical properties, dielectric breakdown resistance, and enhanced performance compared to traditional methods. Nanohmics, in collaboration with Pennsylvania State University and support from Lockheed Martin, aims to develop ferroelectric and ferromagnetic composite nanopowders.
