Research abstract

TheĀdevelopment of a high-power longwave infraredĀInP-based waveguide transmission and out-coupling approach that reliably increases the maximum continuous wave optical power that can be emitted from the waveguide into a nearly Gaussian beam (M2 < 2.0) to at least 10 W is proposed.ĀOptical power propagation in the waveguide will be in a single lateral mode and the transmission at the output surface will exceed 90%.
