Research abstract

Current DAF communications capabilities are inadequate for supporting rapid deployment and sustained combat operations in austere, contested environments envisioned through Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concept requirements. Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and the Concepts, Development Management (CDM) Office have sent out a strong demand signal for a decentralized communications network to provide connectivity in communications denied and degraded environments in order to combat the threat China and Russia poses to operational communications in support of the Resilient Basing Operational Imperative and the ACE concept. Movius’ MultiLine solution is a secure, scalable Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) application that allows users to call and text through a secure, organization-issued business number across any device, carrier, and connection type (Wi-Fi, Data, GSM, Satellite and Private). Movius Interactive's previous commercial sector scaling efforts (over 1,000 commercial client organizations including J.P. Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, UBS, Medstar (healthcare), Jefferies, Julius Bar, Deutsche Bank, and Compass Health).  Movius MultiLine supports built-in recording and text capture, and centralized storage in order to allow AFSOC to implement a fully realized BYOAD application for the decentralized communications network that allows for full surveillance, regulatory reporting, compliance management, and robust application security as well as support for legacy government cell phone programs. If this project is funded, Movius MultiLine seeks to provide AFSOC with a secure communications solution for integrating VOIP communications within a decentralized control plane in order to achieve decentralized peer-to-peer communication. Movius MultiLine is committed to becoming the DAF solution for telework and government cellular device alternatives by providing secure, flexible BYOAD applications for personal cellular device use on military networks, and can easily augment MultiLine for tactical use on ruggedized IoT devices for use in decentralized communications networks with relatively less capital and time than other potential solutions.
