Research abstract
The US Space Force (USSF) is actively searching for space logistics technologies to bolster a deeper understanding of space, maintain space operation readiness, and develop warfighter capabilities in this new domain. As with all new frontiers, the development of maps has been a key enabler, and space is no different. Obtaining a comprehensive map of space is crucial to developing superior space abilities, managing, and tracking assets beyond LEO, planning, and executing space missions, and protecting Earth from asteroid impacts. By ingesting and integrating publicly available astronomical data sets, and applying scalable astrodynamics algorithms hosted on Google-Cloud, B612 has demonstrated the ability to identify and quickly discover previously unseen moving objects in disparate datasets (Discovery), as well as to refine the orbits of previously known or hypothesis moving objects (Precovery).
