Research abstract

America’s warfighters are gearing up for a three-front war in the Pacific with China, Russia, and North Korea. To combat this emerging threat, the DAF has implemented Agile Combat Employment (ACE) and the creation of hub-and-spoke bases throughout the INDO-Pacific.? ?The creation and sustainment of hub-and-spoke bases, while critical for National Security, is a logistical challenge. Airmen are forced to use Excel, whiteboards, and paper checklists for scheduling everything from manpower to fuel replenishment – this is unacceptable when lives and critical assets are at risk. ? ?Fleet Logistics Intelligence Platform (FLIP) is the solution – Mission Readiness Driven by Data? ?FLIP, a product of J3D Labs, is a predictive analytics business intelligence platform and telematics service, designed with database interoperability to automate logistical scheduling – giving Airmen the tool they need to proactively schedule all the needs of hub-and-spoke bases. In this collaboration, the FLIP and the Catholic University of America (CUA) teams will bring this technology to the United States Air Force to support our forces around the globe and to improve readiness to deploy and ?ght.
