Research abstract

The premise is simple: the current solution uses the UAV camera feed for navigation, the proposed effort deploys the algorithms on the ground station instead of the UAV, pipe the video feed back into the ground station, and send back navigation commands – and deliver the solution via a scalable downloadable App Rhoman is delivering vision-based, GPS-denied UAV navigation, targeting, and autonomy solutions to USSOCOM, Air Force, and Navy customers – that run on the UAV using camera data Tomahawk Robotics makes the Kinesis UAV Ground Station over 25 different UAV use for mission input, and ATAK has the sUAS plug-in that connects with Air Force, AFSOC, and DoD UAV Needed Technology Already in Place: The UAV already send back camera data to the ground station – so if we deploy our vision algorithms into an App for the ground station, the algorithms can run on UAV video data and send navigation commands back to the UAV Phase I Effort: Deploy GPS-Denied autonomy & targeting solution to the Tomahawk Kinesis UAV Ground Station; and an ATAK App, so any connected UAV has GPS-Denied autonomy and targeting
