Research abstract

This SBIR is focused on the development of an adaptable thermal tape technology (ASTRID) designed to replace traditional optical solar reflectors and help TacRS satellite manufacturers achieve rapid integration of their thermal control system in operationally relevant timelines. ASTRID combines dynamic E-ink materials and proprietary controls to offer dynamic software programmability, which enables satellite manufacturers to instantly configure the thermal profile of their satellite buses to various payloads and on-orbit scenarios.
