Research abstract

Faradine Systems is developing a compact smart container for USAF and ANG designed to optimize the storage and transport of two units of whole blood. This low SWaP-C device features critical temperature and motion tracking, ensuring blood integrity. With external power, it actively maintains optimal temperatures, extending blood lifespan for medical use in challenging environments. This innovation enhances medical response capabilities, seamlessly integrating with existing protocols and systems, allowing operators and support personnel to monitor the quantity, quality, and location of whole blood assets at the tactical edge on a TAK Common Operating Picture with a tool capable of being man-portable or delivered via unmanned vehicles such as drones.
