Research abstract

We proposeáto develop a robust, high-performance QuSpin Total Field Magnetometer (QTFM) based magnetic navigationápayload in a GPS-denied environment. The project focuses on hardening the QTFM sensor to meet stringent environmental and operational specifications, developing systems-level hardware and software for MAGNUS, and creating a modular, upgradeable packaging solution. The end goal is to produce a low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power), highly reliable magnetic navigation system that can be seamlessly integrated into a wide range of platforms, from drones to missiles, while also being adaptable for other geophysical and military applications.
