Research abstract

ĀĀ Radio Frequency (RF) interference has emerged as a significant concern across various industries, affecting operations in aviation, navigation, communication, and more. As the military is increasingly reliant on GPS and RF connectivity for all levels of operation, the escalating issues and interference events related to Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) and Long-Term Evolution (LTE) signal have become costly, dangerous, and in some cases, fatal. As adversaries see the impact of such interferences, enemies increasingly rely on signal jammers and other interference methods to disrupt connectivity. Without a sufficient way of tracking these events and creating awareness of impacted areas, the threat of RF interference continues to haunt the American military and civilian populations. Tip & Cue's mission is to solve this problem by providing "The Signal Source of Truth," and offering situational awareness and intelligence for seamless wireless connectivity. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform offers real-time insights into cellular and GNSS coverage gaps and interferences by aggregating data from various sources. It comprises two main components: detailed coverage maps and interference/anomaly detection. The user interface design integrates jamming and spoofing detection algorithms, allowing users to select frequency, define areas of interest, and specify timeframes. Event Reports offer automated insights, benefiting airlines, regulators, and operators. The product is evolving into a web-based platform for real-time data fusion from additional sources, enhancing its capabilities.
