Research abstract
Cyber Kostinichi is anĀadvanced cybersecurity training platform createdĀto address the skills gap in the cybersecurity workforce. It aims to push forward rapid and effective training through an agile, iterative framework. The proposal has 6 main technical objectives: 1) Analyze cybersecurity job vacancies across DoD, IC, USG, and industry to identify needed skills. 2) Develop curriculum for critical concepts like network security, threat hunting, and ransomware response. 3) Create a scalable framework to host multi-format training content and track metrics. 4) Identify potential public and private sector partners to pilot space-focused iterations. 5) Demonstrate training capability through 5-day intensive sessions. 6) Evaluate efficacy of training, curriculum, and framework through surveys, performance assessments, interviews, and focus groups. The program will leverage Purdue's Applied Cybersecurity Essentials courses and cyber range. Outreach will engage stakeholders on training needs. Custom pilot cohorts will provide proof of concept. Comparative trainee performance data will quantify improvements. Deliverables include a cyber job skills analysis, specialized space curriculum, agile training framework, list of partners, and effectiveness evaluation. Cyber awareness training has been turned into a meme. Training budgets are one of the first things cut when funding starts to dry up. Emphasis on degrees or certifications overwhelm job requirements. The fact that cyber incidents happen isn't going away.ĀThe goal is an innovative platform enabling efficient skill development through simulations, gamification, and memory techniques to fill the workforce gap and alleviate industry-wide issues.
