Research abstract

Advancing AF DCGS 5G Networks must incorporate survivable software mesh topology, prioritized traffic, quality of service (QoS), intelligent routing, flattened converged networks and secure computing at the tactical edge using SD-WAN. AF DCGS must manage and maintain a new generation of connected devices, wireless networks, and edge computing to ensure the highest standards of mission assurance, security, resilience, and continuity.  NextGen DCGS demands treating information as a critical competitive advantage and data as an essential warfighting resource.  In order to facilitate the fluid availability and high assurance of data across the enterprise, cloud and tactical edge for real-time decision-making, DCGS needs to create highly configurable, dynamic Enterprise Systems that can support Analysis and Exploitation Teams (AETs) to converge on problems with a swarm mindset.  The key to success is flexibility of connectivity, a reliable global data transport, and the ability to support the unique security and sensitivity constraints of DCGS domains. In this Phase I effort, Corsha has formed a team (Team Corsha) of world-class performers each with complementary, dual-use capabilities and deep technical expertise in the fields of zero trust and cybersecurity, 5G enterprise networks, and ruggedized tactical edge communications. Team Corsha includes GenXComm (GXC), Tyto Government Solutions, and Dell Technologies and is developing a novel next generation hardware/software/security solution design for a Zero Trust Independent & Resilient Information System for Enterprise 5G communications.  Team Corsha will come together to present a feasibility study based on the unique AF DCGS requirements and design a flexible SD-WAN architecture that supports Tactical 5G Communications built on strong zero trust principles and secure machine-to-machine communications.  We’ve named this effort Project Independent & Resilient Information Systems for Enterprise 5G or Project IRIS.
