Research abstract

Detailed virtual copies of physical assets, called digital twins, are opening doors for better products across manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, aerospace, and other industries. Digital Twins are most valuable when there is a real-time data stream to keep the digital twin synchronized so DT becomes a near real-time replica of the physical asset it models. To do this, secure and automated machine-to-machine connections and secure data streaming must be established between the physical assets and digital twin environment which shifts the focus from the human to the machine. In the context of Zero Trust principals, these machines are referred to as Non-Person Entities (NPEs). Corsha’s Identity Provider for Machines creates fine-grained, machine-to-machine connections between machine enclaves and digital engineering ecosystems, even across network boundaries that require high trust, continuous authentication, easy integration, full observability, and pinpoint access control for a wide range of protocols. By providing both hardware and software-based gatekeepers, Corsha’s technology is a drop-in solution where modern cyber controls can now be retrofitted onto legacy and proprietary equipment. Corsha’s platform acts as a security enabler of crucial automation and data movement within OT and IT environments by implementing a wide range of Zero Trust principles for machines and NPEs.
