Research abstract

Vigilant Cyber Systems, Inc. (VCS) proposes to complete development of the Integrated & Automated Testing System (IATS) for use in Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) tool chains to provide for automated performance testing of MATLAB source code. IATS provides a single, streamlined environment for automated software performance testing very early in the deployment process. This is because algorithms are implemented in MATLAB before they are implemented in other languages for special hardware, thus testing the performance of the MATLAB code enables developers to find errors and improve algorithms much faster than waiting until they are implemented for production hardware and then testing their performance. In Phase I of this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), VCS completed an initial design of IATS and implemented a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) prototype version of IATS that included all core IATS modules. Using this PoC version VCS was able to demonstrate the feasibility of IATS using an open source DevSecOps tool chain and an open-source MATLAB radar simulation project as the program under test. This document summarizes that Phase I effort and presents a proposal for Phase II SBIR research. Approved for Public Release | 24-MDA-11673 (8 Jan 24)
