Research abstract

The 4th Security Forces Squadron (4 SFS) provides defense for 3,300 acres of land, 24,000 military and civilian personnel, and $18,000,000,000 in Department of Defense (DOD) assets. Since January 2022, the 4 SFS detected and denied 37 attempted security breaches representing only a small fraction of the number of breaches that pose a threat to Airmen and their families when accounting for all Air Force installations worldwide. With people being the Air Force’s greatest asset, the consistent threat to Airmen and Air Force installations makes the response and prevention of security vulnerabilities a top priority for Air Force leaders.
