Research abstract
ôMore than 87% of Pentagon Supply Chain Fails Basic Cybersecurity Minimumsö ľCyber Sheath. The U.S. Government is responding by increasing cybersecurity requirements and expanding compliance obligations. The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) requires cloud vendors to meet a high compliance rigor to sell capabilities to the government. However, with a backlog of 60%, FedRAMP has become a choke point for introducing innovation that meets government needsŚputting the integrity of the mission and safety of the warfighter at risk. Cybersecurity compliance is slow, lack standards, and relies on significant paperwork and manual processes, making them difficult to scale for programs like CMMC and supply chain risk management (SCRM). By leveraging Open Security Controls Assessment Language (OSCAL), rather than these dated, manual processes, Easy Dynamics' OSCAL-based solution provides a standardized approach that is interoperable for expressing security controls, control baselines, and tracking assessment plans, results and plans of actions & milestones. We will execute a 3-month systematic and intensive feasibility study of the Comply0 Automation platform with Platform One to establish the scope of modifications needed for the Phase II effort to adapt the core technology to fit Platform Oneĺs mission. The operational impact of this effort is reduced time to achieve compliance by several months, which leads to faster innovation of competitive technologies.
