Research abstract

In thisĀproposed SBIR Phase II.5 effort Āthe JOVE/Raytheon team will test data fusion capability for transitionĀto the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Increment 2 during a Phase III follow on contract. This Phase II.5 effort will serve as a ōBridge to Phase IIIö for the ACOR-N/PoLP and CEC integration, and will be addressed as a three-step process: Step 1: JOVE will develop the ACOR-N sensor source data fused track Common Operational Picture (COP) to be used by CEC when the Battle Group (BG) is ōat rangeö far from the battlespace. ACOR-N will record and data fuse National Overhead Sensor (NOS) and other sensor source data from a selected Battlespace Area of Interest (AoI).Ā Step 2: For the ACOR-N data fused tracks in Step 1, CEC will simulate CEC tracks at the CEC Test Facility (CTF) in St. Petersburg, FL and transmit CEC track data to ACOR-NÆs processor, which then will be fused with ACOR-NÆs tracks from Step 1. Value added will be assessed. Step 3: JOVE will transmit CEC/ACOR-N data fused tracks back to CEC to ingest, display, and evaluate CEC/ACOR-N fused tracks for value added. JOVE and Raytheon will evaluate the capability of CEC/ACOR-N fused tracks to reduce the ōACOR-N detect/, track, and classify (DT&C) to killö time with near real time CEC radar data used for a firing solution. JOVEÆs CRADA with NIWC-PAC allows JOVE to collect a wide range of sensor source data anywhere in the world at any time, and will provide the data forĀthe three step CEC/ACOR-N data fused track value added assessment for two distinct environments: First, at range with the BG not present in the battlespace, and, second, as the BG initially encounters the battlespace with CEC sensors, reducing the BGÆs initial detect to kill time as one Measure Of Effectiveness (MOE) for value added. The technical objectives of this effort are: Ā Technical Objective 1:ĀJOVE will develop the ACOR-N sensor source data fused track Common Operational Picture (COP) to be ingested and displayed by CEC when the Battle Group (BG) is ōat rangeö far from the battlespace. ACOR-N will record and data fuse National Overhead Sensor (NOS) and other sensor data from a selected Battlespace Area of Interest (AoI). Technical Objective 2:ĀFor the ACOR-N data-fused tracks produced in Tactical Objective 1, Raytheon will provided simulate CEC tracks at the CEC Test Facility (CTF) in St. Petersburg, FL and transmit the resulting CEC track data to the ACOR-N processor which will be fused with ACOR-N tracks produced in Tactical Objective 1.ĀACOR-N will record and data fuse National Overhead Sensor (NOS) and other sensor source data from a selected Battlespace AoI. ???????Technical Objective 3:ĀJOVE will transmit CEC/ACOR-N data fused tracks back to CEC to ingest and display.ĀJOVE and Raytheon will evaluate the ability of CEC to correlate CEC/ACOR-N fused tracks with CEC composite and single-source tracks from across the CEC network.
