Research abstract
BodBot proposes to R&D an AI physical therapy app for Airmen. The goal of this technology is to reduce rates and severity of musculoskeletal injuries (MSKIs) - the leading cause of morbidity among service members - while enhancing recovery from them. MSK injury is damage of muscular or skeletal systems, usually due to a strenuous activity and includes damage to skeletal muscles, bones, tendons, joints, ligaments, and other soft tissues. By addressing MSKIs, BodBot will minimize injury, lost hours, and medical evacuations - along with lost dollars - while maximizing lethality. This app will: Provide diagnostic movement, strength, postural and fitness screens to airmen. Utilize automated AI-driven planning to translate those diagnostics into real-time risk-reducing MSK interventions to Airmen that present with preclinical MSK risk factors. This care will be available to Airmen on-demand: any time, any place, with whatever equipment is available. This technology will be built on BodBotÆs state of the art movement-based fitness services - including kinesiology-driven algorithm-based planning alongside workout tracking, insights and analytics spanning across movements and joints. BodBot is uniquely positioned to commercialize it, given BodBot's proven appeal in the consumer market with over 7 million users and profitable annual revenues.
